What Our Lesson May Cover

Basic Vehicle Knowledge

Understanding your car through and out is crucial since you wouldn’t want to spend a significant amount of money on a vehicle you love but struggle to keeping it going smoothly for a long period of time. You may have received a general introduction to the controls, gauges, and electronic switches on your car, but what we teach is when, how, and why you need to use these.

Road Rules

Theoretically, in advance of taking your Road Rules test, you may already be familiar with a bunch of the Road Rules. It happens quite frequently for learners to overlook or forget basic driving regulations. In in addition to preventing you from hefty fines, following the road rules ensures you and all other road users safe.

Driving Manouvers

Driving on roads is simple, but doing it with confidence and safely requires practice. Learning the proper techniques for driving and manoeuvring your vehicle can protect not only you but also all other users of the road. When you get the hang of it, everything from assessing your car to properly maneuvering around confined spaces will appear to be a simple task.

Road Safety

When do you Give-Way? Where do you need to check before approaching a roundabout? How can I tell if the gap between my vehicle and the one in front of me is safe? Which is the best spot for a legal U-turn? When can I cross a  Solid Line, a Bicycle Lane, or a Bus Lane?

If you have any questions, we’ll do our best to get them answered. Our first goal in fostering safe road users is making sure you comprehend the rules. We believe that the more questions you ask during the lesson, the more you’re going to learn. So, don’t be afraid to ask more questions!

Competency Based Training & Assessment (CBT&A)

South Australia offers the intense training programme known as Competency Based Training & Assessment (CBT&A). The training programme includes various tasks (30 Tasks). The training exercise must be successfully completed by the learner in order to be considered successful.

How many lessons are required to finish CBT&A, then? Well, that depends a lot on how competent you are. Some people may finish their studies in as few as 20 lessons or as many as 50… When you are ready, you will be given the Final Test (2 days) and awarded a BIG tick. Speak with an AusDriving Instructor, and we may be able to provide you some clarity.

Vehicle On Road Test (VORT)

Vehicle On Road Test (VORT), which requires the learner to pass by performing five slow-speed manoeuvres (maximum of 10%) and a general drive (maximum 90%) without violating any road rules. AusDriving Instructor is able to identify each student’s unique pattern of poor driving habits and then provide custom coaching for it.

AusDriving Instructor will make sure you are competent because our goal is to develop a safe and confident driver, not “teach solely for the test.”
